These terms are an agreement between you and Matt Langellotti, which runs HomePulse. By creating an account or using HomePulse, you agree to them.
HomePulse is not an emergency service
If you smell gas, see smoke, or think anyone is in danger, leave the home and call 911 or your gas company from outside. Don't rely on HomePulse, an email, or your contractor's response time in an emergency.
What HomePulse is, and isn't
- HomePulse helps you keep track of your home's heating, cooling and hot water equipment, its history, and routine upkeep.
- The health score, reminders and tips are general guidance, not a professional inspection or diagnosis. Equipment and homes vary. When in doubt, call a licensed professional.
- Some reminders describe simple homeowner tasks. Only do what you're comfortable doing safely, and turn off power before working near equipment.
- We don't do the work on your equipment. Any service, pricing, warranty or other arrangement with a contractor is between you and that contractor.
Your account
- You need to be at least 18 to create an account.
- Keep your password private. You're responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite.
- Only invite people, and add details about people, when you have a good reason to, like a tenant in your rental.
Your content
What you add (homes, equipment, notes, photos) stays yours. You give us permission to store it, show it to the people you share with, and send it where you ask us to, only to run HomePulse. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to share, or anything illegal or abusive.
Contractors
Contractors who gift HomePulse to customers agree to enter accurate information, to send gifts only to customers who expect them, and that the customer controls the home once they accept.
Changes and availability
We may improve, change or pause features. We'll give notice before removing something important or changing these terms in a meaningful way. You can stop using HomePulse and delete your account any time. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.
No warranty, and limits on liability
HomePulse is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Matt Langellotti isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for equipment failures, missed reminders, or decisions made based on the app. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
